This cuvée is named after the pretty pedigree donkeys who graze the steep slopes in front of the chateau at Cabidos. The wine is a blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay and a touch of Petit Manseng.
Appearance
A pale lemon colour with a hint of green.
Nose
It shows ripe fruit such as peaches and even some tropical fruit.
Palate
Similar ripe fruit flavours with good weight in the mouth; well balanced with attractive fruit on the finish.
Cellaring
To be enjoyed young but could be kept for 4 or 5 years.
Food and wine matching
A moreish aperitif, it can also accompany salads with a myriad of flavours or fusion cooking.
